WEEK 1: Task 5
I'M SO EXCITED!
They say, "The older we get, the more stuck in our ways we become." I personally believe age is just another number somebody invented to keep score, but what do I know? I got some exciting news the other day, but my reaction didn't even come close to matching the reward. After receiving the news, I just paused, smiled a little bit, nodded my head and quietly said, "yeah" to myself. This wasn't a person who was excited, this was a person who'd become accustomed to playing it cool. Whick leads me to today's challenge.Today, take 30 seconds to act out being really EXCITED! Don't act it out like the sophisticated, poised, always in control, grown up, adult you are; rather act excited in a child-like manner. Think of how a baby responds when they're tickled OR how a 5 year old kid acts after you've just rewarded them with a surprise trip to an amusement park. Use EVERY part of your body to show your excitement. Really get into the act and go ALL out! You don't have to act this out in front of people, but there are extra credit points available if you do!
task 5 = +1 points for completing (+2 for acting out in front of other people)
Journal Questions:
After you complete this task - Go to the quiet space you've created for your self, take 3 deep breaths, read the below questions and journal about everything that comes to mind. Don't think too hard...just write as if you were talking on the phone to a friend.
1. Write about the last time you remember being really excited. What happened?
1. Write about the last time you remember being really excited. What happened?
2. How did you feel before and after completing this task?
"Keep the faith, keep making it happen and remember to always stay out of your own way!"
