Mirror Mirror on the Wall WEEK 2: Task 6

WEEK 2: Task 6

Welcome back!

"Do you know where you are?"  Watch video

MIRROR MIRROR ON THE WALL

Pause for 5 minutes. Focus on your breathing. Close your eyes and take long deep breaths in and out. Imagine each breath takes you deeper inside your mind. Picture a beautiful place. Somewhere you've been before, want to go or a place you've imagined. This place is safe and free for you to be authentic. Imagine standing in front of a mirror looking at a reflection of you. Look into the mirror and ask the person staring back at you, "How are you doing?" Don't just ask to be asking. Really search their eyes for the truth. Notice their posture, their clothing, facial expressions, eye contact and so forth.

It's very easy to develop a pattern of lying to ourselves when we're going through something in our lives. The key to success is pausing long enough to be honest about where we truly stand. Not the public perception we're portraying to everyone else, but the person we truly are deep down and don't want the world to see.

task 6 = +2 points for completing

Journal Questions:

After you complete this task - Go to the quiet space you've created for your self, take 3 deep breaths, read the below questions and journal about everything that comes to mind. Don't think too hard...just write as if you were talking on the phone to a friend.

1. Where did you go when you closed your eyes? (Describe it)

2. How did you feel when you asked your reflection the question?

3. Did you recognize yourself? What's different about you?

"Keep the faith, keep making it happen and remember to always stay out of your own way!"
